Call them from the scene, I’ve had to do that before when my daughter was involved in an accident and I showed up. I actually called the insurance company on the scene and they were able to get a statement from my daughter and from the other person right then and there. So do not feel bad, do not go back and say I’m gonna call later. Call right now, get that part of it done. It’ll probably reduce the amount of paperwork and work that you’d have to do later if you get that done immediately.
Finally, if you do get paperwork that comes from the adjuster, whether it’s yours or the other parties, do it quickly. Things get blurry in your mind after a while as to what happened number one and number two is it really delays the process.
